A long overdue erosion control project is finally underway. Local company C. D. Davenport will be replacing the culvert adjacent to our parking lot that goes under the road towards Millers Falls. Unfortunately this means that the road between Millers Falls and Diemand Farm will be closed from July 25th to early November. The route for customers coming from the center of Wendell and/or Farley Road will not be affected. We will provide updates as we receive them.
In the meantime, alternate routes will be necessary:
If you’re traveling east on Route 2…
- Go east past River Road and the French King Bowling Center in Erving
- After approximately 4 miles, turn right onto Bridge Street. There is also a sign for the New England Trail.
- Cross the little iron bridge and continue onto Farley Road
- **Trucks over 6 ton and/or 11’ high are not permitted on this bridge
- Turn right to stay on Farley Road where the road comes to a “T”
- After about 1.4 miles, take a sharp right onto Mormon Hollow Road
- After 1.2 miles, Diemand Farm will be on your right
If you’re traveling south on Route 63…
- Pass Element Brewing Company
- At the stop sign near Rustic Romance, continue straight up the hill
- Cross the bridge and bear left on South Prospect Street
- After 1.1 miles, at the fork in the road where you would normally turn left for Diemand Farm, bear right instead
- After 5.5 miles, at the stop sign in Wendell Center, turn left onto Wendell Depot Road
- After 0.8 miles, at Kemsley Academy, turn left on Farley Road
- After 2.5 miles, Farley Road forks right. Bear left onto Mormon Hollow Road
- After 1.2 miles, Diemand Farm will be on your right
If you’re traveling north on Route 63…
- Turn right onto Highland Street to stay on 63 north
- Turn right onto South Prospect Street at the stop sign near Millers Pub
- After 1.1 miles, at the fork in the road where you would normally turn left for Diemand Farm, bear right instead
- After 5.5 miles, at the stop sign in Wendell Center, turn left onto Wendell Depot Road
- After 0.8 miles, at Kemsley Academy, turn left on Farley Road
- After 2.5 miles, Farley Road forks right. Bear left onto Mormon Hollow Road
- After 1.2 miles, Diemand Farm will be on your right
If you’re traveling from the Turners Falls area…
- Come down the hill into the center of Millers Falls
- Turn right at the four way intersection, up the hill to the steel bridge
- Cross the bridge and bear left on South Prospect Street
- After 1.1 miles, at the fork in the road where you would normally turn left for Diemand Farm, bear right instead
- After 5.5 miles, at the stop sign in Wendell Center, turn left onto Wendell Depot Road
- After 0.8 miles, at Kemsley Academy, turn left on Farley Road
- After 2.5 miles, Farley road forks right. Bear left onto Mormon Hollow Road
- After 1.2 miles, Diemand Farm will be on your right
